Biography

L. M. Sloane writes emotionally grounded mysteries and psychological suspense about family, evidence, memory, loyalty, and the truths people struggle to face.

L. M. Sloane grew up with mysteries. As a young reader, she worked her way through every Nancy Drew mystery she could find, developing an early fascination with clues, hidden truths, and the questions people leave unanswered.

That fascination later took on a much more personal meaning when her aunt was murdered. The experience gave her an intimate understanding of how violence reaches far beyond a single victim—into families, memories, unanswered questions, and the lives people continue to build afterward.

Today, Sloane is surrounded by a large blended family that includes grown children, stepchildren, and many grandchildren. Family is not an abstract theme to her; it is one of the defining forces in her life. Her love for that family helped shape her first novel and its exploration of loyalty, protection, truth, and the extraordinary power families can hold over the people within them.
